The Grand Opening Ceremony and 1st Annual General Meeting of Shareholders and Directors of ENEGATE (Thailand) were held in a hotel in Bangkok on September 20, 2012.
Around 100 people, including members of the Thailand government and officials from electric power companies, attended the opening ceremony. In his speech, President Tayama said, “I would like to thank the Thailand government and Thai Aichi Denki for their support and cooperation in establishing ENEGATE (Thailand). We are preparing ourselves to both meet and exceed your expectations. In the midst of Thailand’s remarkable economic growth and increased electricity demands, our mission at ENEGATE (Thailand) is to contribute to smart grid and smart city construction through the application of Japanese smart grid technology. Our business plan consists of three steps. The first step is to manufacture and market cubicles for connection with SPCG systems through cooperation with Thai Aichi Denki Company, and then to further increase our market share by adapting to the needs of other solar power generating companies. The second step is to propose the use of Japanese smart grid technology to Messrs. PEA (Provincial Electricity Authority) and MEA (Metropolitan Electricity Authority), and to further increase sales of solar power generation equipment for home use. The third step is to use ENEGATE (Thailand) as a base to further develop Japanese smart grid technologies in other ASEAN countries to contribute towards solving the 3 E Trilemma of Economy, Energy and Environment.”
Mr. Numchai, Vice-president of PEA (Provincial Electricity Authority), said in his speech, “ENEGATE (Thailand) is unique because it possesses both the technology of a Japanese electrical company and the smart technology of a power meter manufacturer. We hope that through cooperation with SPCG, the No. 1 leader in solar power generation, and the high efficiency cubicle manufacturer Thai Aichi Denki, ENEGATE (Thailand) will make exceptional contributions to the smart grid construction in Thailand.” Mr. Nirut, Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister said in his speech, “We hope that ENEGATE (Thailand) will contribute to the lives of the Thai people by increasing the efficiency of energy use in our country.”
ENEGATE has already installed three grid connection systems that were manufactured in Japan to SPCG solar power generation facilities, and has completed delivery and installation of a further five systems whose parts were exported from Japan and completed by ENEGATE (Thailand).
