On January 30, 2012, at the “Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld” in Bangkok, Thailand, we held the signing ceremony of a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) toward the establishment of a joint corporation by the heads of SPCG (a photovoltaic power generation company in Thailand), Thai Aichi Electric Co., Ltd, and ENEGATE Co., Ltd.

■Purpose of Establishing the Joint Corporation and the Future Vision
In tune with the enthusiasm of President Wandee of SPCG, wherein they will promote photovoltaic power generation for the realization of a low-carbon society in Thailand, we will establish a joint corporation with the motive of contributing to the growth of Thailand with our technologies. At the same time, we will provide locally manufactured electric equipment for photovoltaic power plants to SPCG and investigate the smart grid business in Thailand and peripheral countries, thereby expanding our business through sales of smart products.

SPCG will construct photovoltaic power generation facilities at 34 locations (6,000 kW x 34, totaling 204,000 kW) by the end of 2013 in the north-eastern part of Thailand. At present, six sites (18,000 kW) are in service.
